Trailers are often a film's biggest weapon in terms of creating hype and interest in and around the film. As such they tend to introduce the characters, the basic plotline concept and the tone of the film.If a film is more light hearted the trailer will have a few jokes, if the film is an epic it will grandiose music and beautiful panoramas and fight scenes to show that. The above trailer for X-Men Days Of Future Past (2014) falls more into the latter category, as with many sequels it reintroduces well known characters in a "run down" style (think Oceans Eleven) it also shows of the skills of the new characters, especially those played by popular actors like Peter Dinklage, in order build the curiosity and excitement around them. Usually the title of the film will appear at the end of the trailer however occasionally it is featured near the beginning instead. The music will be tailored to the clip and often feature a change at the point when the film's conflict is introduced.
